NRWVEco - Green Hosting
We operate environmentally friendly and CO2-neutral hosting. For the power supply of the Keyweb data centers we only use 100% green electricity, which is generated from hydropower. From an ecological point of view, this type of regenerative energy is one of the most gentle forms of power generation.
Diesel Generator
The UPS systems are supported by Deutz diesel generators. Should the external power supply fail, the generators jump in within a few seconds with a peak output of 500 kVA and take over the power supply of the data center until the regular power supply is ensured again.
Uninterruptible power supply
Highly efficient UPS systems are used to secure the power supply of the data center in the event of possible disruptions in the power grid, which are characterized by their high power quality, efficiency and redundancy.
Double power supply
The power supply infrastructure of our data centers was designed in such a way that, even in an emergency, the highest level of IT reliability can be guaranteed by a continuous power supply to the data centers. For this purpose, all racks are fused with 1x 16 amps and connected to two separate and independent circuit supplies (a+b).

Fail-safe cooling infrastructure
In our data centers, the technical systems and servers are protected by well-managed and sufficiently secured precautions. The primary cooling infrastructure is N+1 redundant and connected to the data center management facilities. In this way we guarantee a stable climate cycle at all times.
Principle of cold/warm aisles
The principle of cold and warm aisles ensures that the cooling circuits in the immediate server environment can circulate as best as possible. To this end, the servers are not all oriented face-on in one direction. Instead, aisles alternate with front and back. The separation of the cold and warm airflows results in more efficient air conditioning, as only the warm airflows and not the entire room air have to be tempered. As a result, the required energy consumption decreases. The use of cold aisle containment and double floors also protect the aisles from warm room air.
Climatic cabinets
Exact climatic conditions and a high level of operational reliability are required for the smooth operation of the Keyweb data centers. For this reason we use new generation precision climate chambers. They regulate temperature and humidity within narrow tolerance limits and thus create optimal conditions for our server rooms. We achieve energy savings of 30% with free-running, backward-curved fans. The addition of EC fans improves the energy result by up to 65% compared to a 3-phase motor.
Cooling circuit
For the air conditioning of our data centers, we rely on air conditioning systems from the quality manufacturer RC-Group. The MAXIMO series represents liquid coolers with free cooling for using the outside air as a cooling medium. These high-efficiency systems are among the most environmentally friendly and energy-efficient on the market. The free cooling of these liquid coolers was first developed by RCGROUP in the 70's. Today's version is the result of 30 years of experience in this segment. Significant energy savings of around 45% are achieved with these liquid chillers in cooler climate temperature zones.
IPv6
With the development of the Internet and the associated coupling of various device types, more and more IP addresses are required worldwide than are available. Since the usual IP addresses according to the IPv4 standard have already been exhausted, they are extended by the IPv6 address space. CG Software has also adapted its hosting lines accordingly and can make the transition for you without any problems: All current offers from CG Software support the new protocol and all customer websites can still be reached via IPv4. This ensures a smooth transition to the larger IPv6 address space.

Hosting in Germany
Your data will be networked at NRW Networked! hosted exclusively in data centers in Germany. CG Software has two of its own hidden as well as separate data centers in Thuringia, as well as locations in Frankfurt and Berlin, in order to implement complex and cross-location projects according to individual requirements. The data centers are protected by a comprehensive security concept against data theft, failure or damage caused by environmental influences. This is confirmed, among other things, by the TÜV certification of TÜV Saarland, which also includes the principles and requirements of the BSI IT basic protection, BITKOM and ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, among others. Energy efficiency and 100% green electricity are used to operate the data centers. The high-performance backbone with multiple redundant direct connection offers reliable availability with 80 Gbit.
Fire protection
Numerous technical and organizational measures have been taken to counteract the development and spread of fires. The data centers are secured, among other things, by fire protection alarm systems with early fire detection systems on the ceiling and floor in connection with a direct connection to the fire brigade, smoke detectors and camera-based early fire detection.
External connection
CG Software's data centers include a high-performance, multi-redundant Internet backbone with an 80 gigabit external connection. Our network connection consists of direct connections to DE-CIX, euNetworks, B-CIX, Cogent, Core Backbone and Vodafone and the world's largest Tier-1 carrier Lumen (formerly Level 3). Various national and international peerings to carriers such as Telefonica, Telia, Cogent, Telekom Austria, Russian Telekom, Vodafone, Liberty Global and many more. ensure that the data always reaches its destination via the fastest route. Thanks to the multiple carrier connection, we achieve maximum availability and reliability of the network connection in our data centers, since the data transfer volume can also be routed via the line of another carrier in the event of a line failure.
Switch & Routers
In the core area, only quality hardware from the market leader Cisco is used, which can cope with even the most demanding requirements. The flat network hierarchy ensures the best latency and performance. Through the redundant use of the routers, we guarantee the failure safety of the central network components. The best possible design of the uplinks ensures a guaranteed usable bandwidth.
Server rack connection
The network infrastructure of the racks takes place under strict security aspects. Each server rack is connected directly to the core network. Separate networks for backups as well as the respective server and cluster systems were also created so that the individual data streams can also be clearly physically separated from one another. With the help of permanent monitoring of the individual network segments, so-called DOS attacks, for example, can be detected immediately and the affected network areas can be immediately isolated.

TÜV certification
Our data centers are TÜV-Saarland certified. The tests are carried out based on the BSI IT basic protection, BITKOM, TIA 942 and ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 on the basis of the present TÜV Saarland catalog of requirements. The verification takes place regularly and certifies the structural and technical security as well as the optimal organization of the Keyweb data centers.
